Elden Ring recently got delayed from its previously intended January launch date by about a month, but those who are itching to get their hands on FromSoftware’s open world action RPG might have a chance to dip their toes in the water not long from now. Publisher Bandai Namco has announced a closed network test for the game.
The publisher says the closed test will be used to help “improve the quality of the product.” Players must register for the test by November 1, with the test itself set to kick off on November 12. It will take place across five sessions over the next few days after that:
- Session 1: 12 p.m. – 3 p.m., November 12th 2021 CET
- Session 2: 4 a.m – 7 a.m., November 13th 2021 CET
- Session 3: 8 p.m. – 11 p.m., November 13th 2021 CET
- Session 4: 12 p.m. – 3 p.m., November 14th 2021 CET
- Session 5: 4 a.m – 7 a.m., November 15th 2021 CET
There are no details yet on exactly how much content will be included in the beta, but that’ll probably be revealed in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for that. You can also check out a brief announcement teaser for the network test below.
Elden Ring launches on February 25, 2022 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. A brief gameplay clip of the game recently leaked, showing glimpses of its open world. Read more on that through here.
