Grounded – Hot and Hazy Update is Out Now, Adds New Environments and Biome

Hot and Hazy, the biggest update for Obsidian Entertainment’s Grounded, is now live. The update is significant for adding several different role-playing systems like character stats, weapon upgrade, different kinds of armor and more. Check out the trailer below to see it in action.

As noted here, Milk Molars can be used to upgrade one’s max health and stamina along with the number of mutations that can be equipped. Along with more damage and increased durability, weapons can also have status effects like “Fresh.” Among the different armor types, Light armor offers faster stamina regeneration, Heavy armor emphasizes damage mitigation and Medium is a balance of the two.

If all of this weren’t enough, there are new enemies to fight, an update to The Haze which adds a secret lab and exploding mushrooms, new environments like the Black Anthill and Trash Heap, the new Sandbox biome (which inflicts the devastating Sizzling effect) and much more. Grounded is currently available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Xbox Game Preview and Steam Early Access. It’s also available on Xbox Game Pass.
