Forza Horizon has been one of Microsoft’s biggest and most consistent franchises in recent years, to the extent that a new game in the series is pretty much guaranteed to be a masterpiece of its genre. Forza Horizon 5 is coming up soon, and based on all that we’ve seen of the game so far, it looks like it’s going to follow in its predecessors’ footsteps.
Ahead of its imminent launch, it’s also been confirmed that Playground Games has wrapped up development on the open world racer, with communications specialist Alan Walsh announcing on Twitter that Forza Horizon 5 has gone gold. Playground Games will still be working on the game, of course, but anything they polish up and any rough edges they sound out will come to the game via day one or post-launch patches.
Forza Horizon 5 launches on November 9 for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. You can check out its PC requirements through here. Meanwhile, Xbox One players can also be assured that the game will be quite the looker on the system.
I feel so incredibly honored to share these words on behalf of everyone who worked on #ForzaHorizon5:
We've Gone Gold! 🏆
I can't wait for you all to experience the game as we gear up to launch. For now, get acquainted with the music of Horizon Mexico: https://t.co/Zuq0fr4yHt pic.twitter.com/QZhJzxuVGP
