Confirmed in the short film “Exodus”, Battlefield 4’s Kimble “Irish” Graves will be joining the roster of Battlefield 2042 as a Specialist. As an Engineer, his abilities and traits are focused on protecting fellow tea members, helping to set up fortified positions against foes. In a new clip on Twitter, DICE has revealed exactly how that works.
First up is the DCS Deployable Cover which, as the name implies, provides a barricade that will protect one from enemy fire (which includes explosives). There’s also the APS-36 Shootdown Sentinel that destroys which destroys explosive projectiles. Graves’ passive is called Veteran and provides armor to squad-mates along with granting additional bonuses from downed enemies.
Those who pre-order Battlefield 2042 can receive the Battle Hardened Legendary Skin for Irish at no extra cost. Early access to the upcoming open beta, which starts on September 4th at 1 AM PT and lasts till September 11th, is also provided. Battlefield 2042 is slated to release on October 22nd for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and PC.
